Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need two different e-mail addresses?

If the first e-mail address is the same as the second e-mail address a so-called loop effect will result. This means that the checked e-mails that eXpurgate sends to you will be sent again to your virtual e-mail address at, which will cause it to be checked again, sent back to you, and so on…

After a maximum number of “Loop-Counts” the e-mail will be sent back to the sender with an error message. To avoid this, a second independent e-mail address is necessary. In addition, this e-mail account should not be set up so that it would forward all e-mails back to the first mailbox. This would again result in a loop.
