Do I need to have a second e-mail address prior to registration? Print
Yes, you already need to have this forwarding address for the registration process because you are immediately sent a verification e-mail to this address in which you are requested to confirm your registration once again. You can use the eXpurgate service only once this registration has been submitted.
 
I have just registered. Why don't I receive a confirmation e-mail? Print
Probably because your forwarding address did not yet exist or was not available at the time of registration, or perhaps you mistakenly entered somebody else's address and he/she received the confirmation mail intended for you. If this is the case, you can re-register 48 hours after your initial registration, assuming you wish to retain the original username, or you can simply register using a different login name.  

If you're already using a spam filter for the destination mail box, especially one that only lets e-mails pass if the sender authenticates by clicking a verification link contained in an automatically generated message (as with SpamArrest), our confirmation mail might be discarded by this "spam" filter as well. In this case, de-activate your current spam filter for this mailbox, and repeat the registration procedure.
 
Why do I keep getting error massages when I try to confirm my registration? Print
Your data is deleted if you fail to confirm your registration within 48 hours. If this happens, please register again. Furthermore, confirmation is only possible if you use the proper username accompanied by the correct password and if you don't modify the link included in the e-mail.
