I have two e-mail addresses with the same provider. Is this sufficient to use eXpurgate? |
|
|
Basically yes, provided these are really two fully separate and independent e-mail accounts. Some providers, however, offer different names for the same mailbox (aliases). If this is the case, you effectively have only one e-mail account, which is not sufficient for using eXpurgate. |

I have an AOL / Hotmail / Compuserve / T-Online address. Can I use the eXpurgate service? |
|
|
Unfortunately, if
your current e-mail address is with one of the above providers, you
cannot use our full service because these providers don't support the
forwarding of e-mails. However, you can still benefit from eXpurgate's
filter function by having your e-mails sent directly to your
Spamfence.net address or, for example, by using this address as your
sender address for newsgroups.

I have a GMX address and want my filtered e-mails to be forwarded there. Is that possible? |
|
This is not a problem. However, please note that GMX does not accept
any e-mails from the domains aol.com, hotmail.com, msn.com, or yahoo.com if these mails have been transmitted via an external server. Thus, GMX doesn't accept e-mails from yahoo.com, for example, if
they are delivered by Spamfence.net.
In order to be able
to receive e-mails from the above domains even after they have been filtered
by Spamfence.net, GMX recommends that you deactivate its "Security Mechanism".
Please log on to your GMX account and have a look under 'Options ->
AntiSpam'. In the settings window, uncheck the box preceding the entry
"Spamserver-Blocker". This allows e-mails from AOL
(for example) to be delivered via external mail servers.
